Dean McPhee's sixth full-length album and the second release on his own label, Bass Ritual. Northern Earth integrates overdriven guitar, a wooden snare drum pedal and an 18-inch subwoofer, pushing his sound beyond the sparse fingerpicked guitar of his earlier records. The three expansive compositions were recorded live with no overdubs at McPhee's home in Bradford.
