American Idiot
Green Day
Reprise Records
Green Day's seventh studio album and one of the defining records of the 2000s. Released in September 2004, American Idiot arrived as a full-blown punk rock opera — a furious, cinematic response to post-9/11 America that shifted over 23 million copies worldwide and won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album. The story of the fictional 'Jesus of Suburbia' unfolds across 13 tracks that range from the snarling title track to the sweeping stadium grandeur of 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams' and the tender heartbreak of 'Wake Me Up When September Ends'.
Produced by Rob Cavallo and Green Day, mixed by Chris Lord-Alge. Pressed on double heavyweight black vinyl in a gatefold sleeve. One of the essential rock albums of its era — and one that sounds tremendous on vinyl.
