Dookie
Green Day
Reprise Records
The record that changed everything. Green Day's third studio album Dookie arrived in February 1994 and detonated punk rock into the mainstream — a diamond-certified juggernaut that sold over 20 million copies worldwide and won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Album in 1995. Basket Case, Longview, When I Come Around, Welcome to Paradise — four genre-defining singles on a single album. Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool recorded it with producer Rob Cavallo at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, and the result was a record of irresistible melodic energy, wit and genuine emotional punch.
This 2009 reissue is the definitive vinyl pressing of Dookie, remastered by Kevin Gray, pressed by Pallas in Germany and packaged in a single-pocket Stoughton jacket. Includes the inner sleeve with lyrics and credits. Track B8 (All By Myself) is not listed on the sleeve, as on the original pressing.
