Pilot
Hot Mulligan
Wax Bodega
Hot Mulligan's debut album Pilot is back on wax via Wax Bodega — the record that introduced the world to one of the most compelling voices in contemporary emo. Formed in Lansing, Michigan in 2014, the band cut their teeth playing house shows and naming songs by closing their eyes and typing into autocorrect, and Pilot was the record that turned heads: eleven concise, melodic, deeply earnest tracks of emo-pop that pack more hooks per minute than most bands manage in a career. 'All You Wanted By Michelle Branch' references the pop star in its title and actually got a response from her. 'How Do You Know It's Not Armadillo Shells?' is one of the great emo track names of the decade. It's an unassuming record that rewards repeated listens enormously.
Now pressed on orange vinyl and available to UK indie retailers for the first time through Republic of Music. For fans of Modern Baseball, Mom Jeans, Citizen and Tiny Moving Parts. Out 12th June 2026 on Wax Bodega.
