Cellist and composer Aliya Ultan structures Looks Far Woman as a cycle of six elemental songs unfolding at the intersection of composition, dream logic, and ritual practice. Drawing from a period of physical and emotional exhaustion, Ultan works with breath and sustained attention as compositional materials, inhabiting the hypnagogic threshold between waking and sleep.
