I, Individual
Gloria Mundi
Antenna Records
A vital document of a band that refused to conform. London, 1978 — Gloria Mundi emerged from the UK underground fusing aggressive rock with performance art, intellect, and confrontation. Their debut album I, Individual pushes beyond punk's three-chord limitations with driving guitars, angular arrangements, saxophone, and the fierce, uncompromising vocal presence of Sunshine (Valerie Patteson).
Sharing stages with early Ultravox and playing the Roxy, Vortex, and the Marquee, Gloria Mundi were managed by Rod Smallwood (who would next handle Iron Maiden) and even earned a nod from David Bowie. Now remastered and pressed on opaque white vinyl with a double-sided insert. Bonus track: their debut single 'Fight Back'.
