French-American duo Pearl & The Oysters return with Monkey Mind, produced by Jonathan Rado (Weyes Blood, Father John Misty, The Lemon Twigs) and recorded straight to tape with a family of LA musicians. Sunny on the surface, the album was written in the wake of the 2025 LA fires and Trump's second inauguration — named after the Buddhist concept of a restless, looping consciousness.

Looser and more grounded than anything they've done before, it trades their previous home-recorded intricacy for something more present, more communal, and more urgent. One of the most charming indie pop records of the year.
