Walrus Ghost — the alias of Brooklyn-based musician Christian Banks — returns with his first solo album in twelve years. If You Could Be Here Now blends live instruments with electronic processes into a hypnotic, homespun vision of post-rock, inflected with ambient, folk, electronica, and lo-fi rock.

Written and recorded through a period of serious health setbacks and profound personal change, the album is both a meditation on the collective human condition and an intimate document of one artist's hard-won return to music. "I aim to make music that will be lasting and timeless," Banks says, "but I also hope this album echoes a kind of meditation on both the collective human condition and where I'm at in life as myself in this moment."
